Review of awe exhaust, the transmission insert, and hr coilovers on my c7 a6 3.0t

I got all three installed today. Instead of posting on the various threads, I'm doing a single post.

The trans mount insert definitely makes a difference! The up shifts are smooth. Gone is the harshness, feels more precise. Downshifts same. You don't feel them anymore like I used to. Best 57 bucks I spent on this car.

The awe exhaust. At first I though it was too loud. I have the catback without the down pipe. It gets pretty loud right at 2000-2500 rpm. That said, I'm getting old, it's not that bad. The sound is good. After driving home on my 1.5 hour journey it grew fast on me. I love it. It gets quieter as the rpms rise. When driving "normal" you can barely hear it. The most you hear it is in the low rpm range. There is zero drone. At cruising speed, you can't hear it unless you step on it. Now the best part. When you floor it, this thing sounds amazing. In between shifts there is this absolutely awesome crackle/burp. It's what made me fall in love with this exhaust.

The He coilovers are great. I did the least amount of drop which basically closed the wheel gap. Ride quality is not sacrificed at all. Ride looks so much better, and handles great too.

    I'll post pics later.

Looks great! Did you have difficulty aligning the tips? Maybe it's just the pic, but looks like left side is not centered.. I assume you can also opt to not use the AWE tips and add on your own quad tips for a quad set up?

Thanks! They were aligned. But from use, as the metal settles they moved a bit. I'm going back in, in 2 weeks, to get new tires, control arm bushings, and alignment done, I'll have the tips/exhaust aligned again.

There isn't enough room on the A6 rear valence to support a quad tip setup. You would either have to try cutting the valence to widen it, or replace it with the S6 valence. Believe you can only do the latter without having to buy the entire S6 rear bumper and valence setup if you have the S-Line or Prestige package.
