    :: ECS Tuning :: B8 A4 2.0T ECS Silicone Turbo Inlet Hose

    Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!

    If you're running a performance filter, intake, or tune, the factory turbo inlet hose will start to show its weakness. The stock rubber hose disrupts airflow as it passes over often-collapsed accordion sections, negating the effects of intake modifications.

    Engineered in-house, the ECS Silicone Turbo Inlet Hose is constructed with high quality 5-ply silicone, providing a strong but flexible structure, ensuring a secure fit.A smooth interior provides unimpeded airflow, which the smooth unassuming exterior adds an appearance upgrade to any engine bay.

    *New hose clamps are included*

    Soooo...has anyone ever actually flow tested the stock hose? The corrugation might actually break up the boundary layer of the air, and possibly flow better than the smooth silicone one.

    Devils Advocate here.

    I just installed the ECS Silicon Turbo Inlet Hose, along with the AFE Dry Filter and I must say that I'm loving the combo. Didn't want to go with APR intake because it's too expensive and too loud.

    Anyways, does anyone know if this inlet hose voids the car warranty? It might be a silly question but why not ask the fellow members. I'd assume that it doesn't, but wanted to hear if anyone has confirmed this.

    Thanks guys! And thank you ECS for quick shipping!

    Glad you are enjoying the new intake set up!

    I would imagine that it depends on the dealership. Some dealerships are very strict on what can void the warranty and others no so much. I would maybe give your SA a call and discuss with them if you "hypothetically" brought your vehicle in with said mods if it would cause any issues with warranty.

    If it's a no go then just remove it prior to taking it in and reinstall once you get it back.

    Install went flawless except for Murphy's Law when I dropped two small flat head screwdrivers into the bay. Now I can't find them. Should I be worried driving the car like that?

    Edit: jacked the car up and found them, but d-oh!

    Great thing about dropping tools/parts into the engine bay is usually they land on the belly pan. Which acts like a funnel when you jack up the vehicle. Once you lift the front end most of the time everything slides to the back and you just have to reach your arm in and feel around. Likely the tools/parts will be near the rear opening.

    Besides that glad to hear you were able to get it installed easily!
