    Home Link Question

    I have a 2015 S5 Nav, Home link..blah blah blah

I live in Germany, have a US Spec car and sent my radio out to get the the German maps loaded on it. My house here in Germany has a garage with opener, wrong MHz for the US spec car. Friend of mine tried to change the country code in the car for homelink with VCDS tuner. It will not take. Does anybody have any suggestions?

Also, how to change the country code for the DVD player?

    Thanks

If you change the country code for the entire car instead of just one system it may work but you will then have a German speaking car, if thats not a problem for you then it may be a goood fix?

A friend switched his to South African to remove the speed warning which should sound at 120kph but doesnt doesnt do anything until 125kph (speed cameras will flash at 121kph here so the warning is useless).

The car is setup with kph and the DVD player is german country code too. We have tried to code the country with VCDS just wont take. My speed warning is 240kph and also the limiter.

If the Home Link system is anything like the 3G radio in the MMI (for Google Earth), it's frequency bands are a hardware limitation and cannot be changed via software. A new Home Link transmitter is probably your only choice.
