Leavenworth European Drive 2015

I was just curious if anyone has any knowledge as to when the Leavenworth Drive dates are for 2015? I know that in years past they try to make it the second Saturday of June, which would make it June 13, 2015 this year. Just trying to confirm so I can book a house for our group driving up. Thanks.

Based off history I would say June 20th. Father's Day weekend. Also they always seem to plan it right at the end of Bellevue Colleges spring quarter so they can use the parking lots. Last day of spring quarter is the 19th of June.

I was told by one of the organizers that no, the date has not been solidified yet but that traditionally it goes with Father's Day weekend, not always the 2nd weekend.
I have a place booked for the 19th/20th based on that.

this sounds awesome! i have always wanted to attend the event. have never been able to because of work. dont work weekends now. would love to know the concrete dates for this so i can start planning. BTW is there a picture thread from last year?

Yup me too! I booked both weekends just in case...And was able to get my usual room but I booked the 20th and 21st since I plan to go to the Bellevue CC gathering first. I also assume some of us will meet up first then head over to BCC like last year. Someone else want to start a thread for that?

Just doesn't feel the same having separate meeting spots. I'll probably meet with some friends and drive up ahead of everyone else.

I agree, it won't feel like a drive, scattered euros at different arrival . I'll head early for goodies on the top of the mountain and get my grub on.

The "drive" has always been a bit of a shitshow. Accidents every year within the first 5 miles due to backups and people darting into traffic lines. Major backups through the towns when you hit lights and speed limits drop. It's more fun to just be in the town with cars parked around and milling about with a beer in my hand, IMO.

Yeah I agree the drive sucks in town. Last year tried to go with the group and came back at before departure time and everyone has left. This year we will just drive straight from the peninsula.
Cupcake I might have saw your car back 3-4 years ago in Portland at an ipd Volvo show. I had a Volvo there and had an allroad . but I saw your car at the end of the street and made it inside the back show lot. I might have a pic of it on my phone.

I'm going to age myself a bit, but I remember when this drive was 20 or so cars. And we started out of a small strip mall in Everett. The good ol' days.

This year will likely be my last hurrah as I'll probably be parting with my car this summer. Looking forward to it. And hoping the multiple start points help alleviate some of the issues.

This will be my first time attending the Drive, but I think I've seen that there's a meet at the top of the pass on the way to Leavenworth. Just wanted to make a note that that might be a bit more difficult this year because Stevens Pass will be opening earlier this year for mountain biking than they have before.

Might just want to do I-90 to blewitt pass. It's only a few more miles than Stevens and probably way less traffic. I'm thinking that's what I'll probably do.

Gonna be real close, I have the motor completely together, just waiting on my downpipes now. Hopefully they arrive tomorrow. It'll be a challenge though since I'm in Vegas from 6/12-06/15. Doesn't give me but a few days to get it running and break in the new clutch before 06/20.
