    Love mine!

Extremely bright (in cabin), great quality, & easy install.

Do wish the trunk bulb was a bit brighter.

Just installed a set of these. No errors or bad bulbs.

Love the light color it puts out. Much more vibrant than the dim yellow OEM bulbs.
The light output is not as bright at the marketing pictures shown above, but who wants that!!

The installation instructions were very clear and accurate. It took just over 50 minutes to install all 14 bulbs, and at least 10 of those was waiting for the OEM bulbs to cool down to the touch.

Thanks for the order! Glad you are enjoying them!

We have a longer exposure on our marketing photos which allows you to capture more light which is supposed to give you the most realistic looking light out put as possible. This is why they typically look brighter than your standard photo.

A dash code or an internal ecu code?

We will look into this, but it will not be a high priority as this is an internal ecu code and the LED bulb is still completely functional and does not report a dash error.

Just go buy a CANbus error free bulb on ebay. Simple as that.

I did my S4 with the ECS kit and the GTI with $20 worth of ebay parts. No difference to my eyes...actually, the ziza LEDs in the map lights don't properly dim in my S4. But I have bigger fish to fry than dealing back and forth on this.

I bought error free bulbs and that's what I should get. This was 3 months ago and haven't really given a shit until someone on here brought it up. They shouldn't promote error free if they are not. My fish are big too. Thanks for your interest.

Error free as in no dash lights. This is typically what is meant by that. ECU codes only are visible to people using VCDS or a similar type of software to scan their vehicle.

We will be looking into this though, we apologize for the minor misconception.

You are correct! I scanned the ecu with Carista and the trunk as well as puddle lights came back with a soft error code. No dash light though.

Just a nuisance IMO Perfectionists prefer to not have any...but I have one persistent one from the ABS module from disabling DSR.

Dealer could scan or someone else and assume there is a bigger problem...who knows.

Mine would be an internal ECU code Jason.

My dealership approached me about it and said it's not "good" to have those bulbs in my car. Took that comment as through the ear and out the other

    Thanks!

As I and others said it's an internal ECU code. It will not cause any functionality issues with the vehicle or the lights. Likely it's due to the fact that LED lights require less power to illuminate so the socket isn't drawing as much power as it was before.

ya I'm actually leaning away from buying them too now. A soft code is still a code. It doesn't matter if it pops up on the dash or you have to have a VAGCOM cable to see it...it's there. The fact that you're just tossing it away as if it's no big deal is ridiculous...people are paying for an error-free installation, not an installation that has hidden errors. There's no telling how this would affect warranty claims...Audi has been known to ignore warranty work because of soft codes. If there's an electrical issue in the car, this simple soft code could very well mean one of us is paying out of pocket.

Truthfully, your response to this issue is more of a problem than the soft code to me. If you sell something that's claimed to be error free and there's an error, the only response you should have it "I'm really sorry about that...we'll look into it right away". It's not up to you to decide what's important and what's not, to the customer.

FYI I had installed the kit from DeAutokey in my 2010 without issues/codes. Haven't decided yet if I'm going to do this mod in my 2015, or if so who I'll go with.

It's not that we don't care, but we have other projects that are being worked on as well and we just can't drop everything and look into this right this second. There will be a time when this is scheduled into the work load and we can come up with a solution. Likely sooner than later. We apologize if it came off like we don't care about the feedback from our customers.

If the soft error code is originating from the trunk bulb only, perhaps you can fix two issues in one by offering a brighter bulb which will draw more current. I recall brightness, or lack thereof, being a complaint about the trunk light.

I'd be completely satisfied if you sent me a bulb to beta test for you.

Everyone in this thread sounds like a group of giant entitled a** holes with nothing more to do with their time except to scan their cars for codes and get at ECS about a soft code in your car.

If no one had posted anything about soft codes on here every single person who bought the kit would simply move on and never give a crap about any of this. ECS is the one vendor who stocks 99% of what you might actually need for your car and you want to split hairs on a bulb that throws a soft code. All of you grow up and if you're not satisfied I believe someone on here posted a solution for you. "not a high priority to buy them" then don't, its a free market dude you don't have to buy anything but do you honestly think a company that sells all kinds of large items for other VAG cars is going to sit all day to figure out how to make your bulb not throw a soft code? A child is what you are. /Rant

I bought this kit and Im more than happy with it, works great and if theres a code I wouldn't have any idea because my dash doesn't say anything about it.

On a side note any chance the carbon mirror caps will go on sale? -Im looking to pick up a set but Im seriously worried that they might throw a code though.

Haha, just tired of this mentality that these retailers owe everyone the world. You're buying a 120 dollar kit its not like you're buying a ferrari over here.
