034Motorsport is please to present our new Billet Aluminum Rear Differential Carrier Mount Insert Upgrade for the B6/B7 Audi A4/S4/RS4! The factory Audi rear differential carrier bushings have voids in the rubber damping medium, which results in excessive rear differential movement (twisting) under load. This movement allows for unwanted drivetrain slop (and sometimes clunks) than can be observed when accelerating, decelerating, and shifting.

These billet aluminum inserts are designed to fill the voids in the factory B6/B7 Audi A4/S4/RS4 rear differential carrier mounts, and limit rear differential movement without sacrificing ride quality or introducing any additional noise, vibration, or harshness into the cabin. By filling the voids in the factory mounts, these inserts eliminate the associated slop and ensures that you're experiencing smoother shifting and throttle transitions, and an improved driving experience.

Installation is very simple, can be performed in minutes, and is completely reversible. This upgrade is the easiest and most effective way to limit unwanted differential movement, improve throttle response, and increase shifting performance on your B6/B7 Audi A4/S4/RS4 Quattro.

I'll probably have you guys throw this on next time I'm there. Quick question though - I assume the smart guys over at Audi designed the carrier bushings like that on purpose - any idea why? Will the lack of movement affect something else?

^ OEM bushings etc are designed for comfort as much as anything.

Ok, cool. I'll do both this and the street density tranny mounts, since I'd rather have a tiny bit of vibration than the bouncy-driveline.

Wow, we didn't expect these to be quite so popular! We're almost sold out of the ones we made for our initial run, but will continue to honor the introductory price for a few more days.

If you see a note saying they're out of stock, it should only be about two weeks for us to machine more, get them anodized, and kit them up. We still have about 10 left.

This is correct; the mounts only exist to minimize the transfer of noise, vibration, and harshness into the cabin. While solid mounts would be unbearable to drive for most people, the factory design leaves a lot to be desired in the performance department. That's where we come in!

Haha yep, installed last weekend! Pressing the mount into the bushing was not as smooth as i thought it was going to be. I actually had to back the bolt out all the way and tried to push the mount in with a screwdriver or something (just enough to start threading the bolt back in)...then tightened the bolt all the way down to 'mount' it :) Besides that, its been great!

Yep, getting it all the way seated seems to be the tough part. Some silicone-based lubricant and a screwdriver or pry bar should help a lot.

Happy Friday! Just helped one of the guys here install a set of these in his car last night. A pry bar and some silicone lubricant makes the job a breeze! I think it took us longer to rack the car than it did to install the inserts.

Bump! These are the perfect upgrade to go along with your Apikol Rear Differential Mount!



While the Apikol mount replaces the front-most mount for the rear differential (circled in red below), the 034Motorsport Rear Differential Carrier Inserts install into the two rear-most mounts for the rear differential carrier (circled in blue below), to prevent twisting of the rear differential housing under load, between shifts, and during launches.
