Well after 15 bloody hours on Sunday starting at 8:30 am I have finished
and will never do that again on my own, every part of my body is killing me and what could go wrong did go wrong.
Anyway it in and the first attempt to pull off the drive way was met by a crunching and grinding noise oh F@#k what have I do!!! Turns out I left the oil try under the car "thank god". Jack car up remover mulled try, try again. This time no horrible noise until the first speed hump, clunk clunk from the rear offside shock.... now what have I done or forgotten to tighten? So jack up the car all bolts connected..... hummmmm shake shock there's movement, OK I know what it is; top bot is not tighten all the way. Ten minutes all done and im out again..... all seem ok then speed hump and horrendous rubbing from the front "bollocks to this" park car up and a bath and bed.
So wake up early and I feel like I've been in a fight with a bunch of football hooligans and it did not go well for me so phone boss and ask if I can take the day off as holiday.
That sorted and a whole bunch of painkillers and I' good to go. Now I knew what the front rubbing was straight away, it that bloody stupid grub screw Audi deemed was a good thing to have sitting on the side of the arch at the top. So I jack the car up remove grub screw and go for a drive. :biggrin3: :biggrin3: :biggrin3: :biggrin3: :biggrin3:

The rear is on the maximum lowest setting (only way to get it in to the car)which I'm going to adjust as its tool low for me and the front is about midway.
Heres a picture of the SS Plus spring colour markings.
Only a little London driving and I will say she feels the bumps a little more for sure but not so much I could not live with just a little more than stock.
I will be the weekend before I will get to see what she like on the open road but for now I'm happy just need to raise the back end a bit, oh and I noted the N/S gearbox rubber gaiter was shot so I will take it to my mates Shop for him to sort it out think I've had my fill of DIY for the moment.
