RS7 Oval tips for S7

Anyone know if the RS7 tips can be made to fit on the S7? looking to also getting the rear bumper as well. But wanted to make sure the oval tips will work.

The RS7's oval tips are part of the bumper. The actual exhaust just ends behind the oval tips.

I put an RS7 rear diffuser and oval tips on an S6. It took a lot of body shop work primarily because the tabs on the RS7 diffuser didn't line up with the holes on the S6 bumper. I have a sneaky suspicion that they will line up perfectly on an S7. You shouldn't need to buy a new bumper, you should just need to buy the diffuser, the oval tips, and some brackets which all show up on the RS7 rear bumper diagram.

Oh, and you're going to have to cut your stock muffler tips just after the valves.

Interesting that the actual shape of the RS7 diffuser was proper for the S6. Generally there is enough of a shape or width difference for these items to not cross all that easily.

That has been done by a customer or two of mine on S6 models. It does take a bit of custom work, but it can be done. There is a forum member or two who have done the RS6 to S6 fitment as well, maybe they can chime in.

The A6 S-Line would also apply to this as it uses the same bumper as the S6. The A6 standard rear bumper however would not as the shape is different.

Yea i think you're right..recall one of the guys on here saying it needed some work.
I'm considering the next best thing, and that's the 2016 S6 diffuser for my A6 Prestige. Though that may not be a direct fit either considering the bumper has been revised.

No easier than fitting the RS7 diffuser on the S6. The RS6 is an Avant and the S6 is a Sedan. They do not share the same bumper. Fast4DR was successful, but it required a body shop to install, fabricate brackets, and lots of glue. The RS6 parts will have to come from Europe as well, so expect freight and higher prices.

I agree. I always thought the S6 diffuser was so conservative. It cost me about $2500 by the time all was said and done in parts and body shop, but well worth it IMO.

Beaver, I'll post the part numbers of the parts I purchased when I get to the office tomorrow. I have the car file there.

Does anyone know a good source for the oval diffuser insert that's not the dealership ($$$)? I have an OEM RS7 diffuser that I'm in the process of restoring. I can custom fit this to my S7 bumper but I'm not trying to spend a lot on a test that might not work out.

Just go with an ebay one that is made to fit the A7/s7 bumper. Saves time and money.

I'm only concerned with whether it is the correct shape to fill the space of the original s7 diffuser. The rest I can deal with especially because the diffuser was basically free (damaged, bartered a dash cam install for it).

Simple, is it not. the tabs dont even line up also the rs7 diffusor is longer, so there will be some warping. Spend the coin and do it the right way.

I can trim and make tabs. I also have access to a nearby custom shop that's willing to help me out at cost.
