This morning on my commute to work some guy in a jeep Cherokee didn't like that i passed him. i was going maybe fifteen over the speed limit. He was in the fast lane going the limit. Well he sped up, Got next to me and pointed his hand at me like a pistol... then to make it worse he opens his window and throws something at my car... dented my front fender. Its small but im mad. Got his license plate but it won't help me.

While I don't know specific statutes in Ohio, I can surely assume there are road rage related laws, littering, assault, speed, driving unsafely, and a number of other things.

Citizen's arrest.

I'd give them a call. Let them know what happened. And let them make the decision on what they can do. Don't just assume you won't get anything out of it.

Show the damage. Get an estimate for the damage.

Take the guy to small claims court.

Get a judgement.

Ruin his life.

Profit.

I had a guy in a Prius go berserk on me for going around him in a 4 lanes road while he was making a right hand turn.

It was a three lane highway. I just passed him cause he was in the fast lane doing 55 mph (speed limit). Used turn signals and everything. I should've just hit it and not let him catch up.

If you have the plate number and you show the damage to the cops they should file a report for you. You can also take it to small claim court and pursue money for damages to your vehicle. A guy got pissed off at me for stopping for an ambulance with the lights going. He ended up spitting on my car. I was able to get a portion of the plate and I knew the make model and color of his vehicle. Went to the police station and told them what happened. They looked up his vehicle and told me since there was no damage or physical altercation they couldn't really do anything but they were going to send a warning letter to him stating if he does it again and it is reported by anyone he would be arrested for it. I don't know if they really did it or not but that is what they told me. This was again about 8 yrs ago or so, so here the laws about road rage and what nots have gotten stricter.

Take picture of damage.
Provide information to police.
File a criminal complaint with the police if possible

They cant really do anything now since this already happened and you're no longer at the scene. It's more of a he said/he said situation but GL.

Well you have his plate, so you should be able to get his address via public record, no? I saw that on 'Gone in 60 Seconds', so it's gotta be true. Go to his house, wear a mask, and give him a sharp kick in the nuts...no marks, no scarring, and as far as he's concerned, karma just kicked him back. Not knowing your identity could mean he'll run through a long list of people he's pissed off, and perhaps make a few changes in his life. So get out there and do a little philanthropy

Just got off work. I did manage to get a photo of the rear end on his car. Its blury and you can't make out the plate, but i did remember it so that's not an issue. No as for the dent... Its not big. Im not going to lie. If i told someone like my fiance about it and she took a glance she probably would say were is it? But im anal about that kind of stuff. What ever he threw was red. It left some paint. Im going to call the 5-0 right after my shower.

This Subaru is a perfect example of road rage.

I called last night, but apparently i have to be in the same city of the occurrence to make a report. After work today ill stop in.

Soo i stopped into the local police department to fill out the report, well apparently it doesn't do much. It gets filed and that's about it. They won't contact him or anything. But from here i wait one day, go back in and get a copy of the report. I then can take The report to my insurance agency to see what they can do.

Sad, disappointing and a little frustrated.

I have the Mini0803 and the Mobius. I got the Mini since I thought I wanted / needed GPS however I'm not so sure anymore and that camera has had it's problems. I'm probably going to pick up another Mobius to replace it soon.

i have an Itronics itb 100 spw and its been great. wireless and no issues so far.

Eddie, does the itb have batteries or supercaps? I've gone through two battery packs on my 0803 due to heat before I modded my own supercap. So I'm definitely looking for a Supercap capable camera.

Not batteries. I bought a cable and hard wired it with the fuse that RNSE runs off of because the RNSE runs when the car is off. So my camera is powered by the cars battery even when the car is off. My camera is on 24/7. I bought a yellow top optima battery when i did this and so far ive left the car off for 5 days once and it started up no problem what so ever.
