I'm doing a VR6 swap in my Mercedes 190e and logic says to use the quattro transmission. I already have my 12v vr6, 2001 A4 5 speed transmission and im sourcing my VR5 stuff at the moment. I understand to make the quattro a RWD transmission I need to weld the diff to be 100% solid, not a big deal.
The main question I have is will my Mercedes 3.23 rear diff interfere with the wear and tear on the transmission since the front diff is a 3.89? Or will the front shafts just freely spin faster with no major issues internally?
I read every thread about RWD quattro and this was never mentioned since no one is using it in another platform.
