It will not open from inside? Pulling the handle twice should unlock it manually, mechanically?

I cannot promise that the setup is the same, but on my a4 the rear door has a cable with a little hook that goes to the inside door handle. this cable is held tight with a little metal clip, if this clip came loose, or if the hook broke off the end of the cable, then pulling on the handle wont do anything, including manually working the lock mechanism.

you mentioned you tried the key fob, have you tried the button on the drivers door, and then opening from the outside? also, I know the front doors have plastic guards preventing the doors from being unlocked with a slimjim, but do the rears have this?? maybe you could get it unlocked using a tool like that. on my a4, I ended up breaking the door panel apart while still closed, and replacing it; but I was lucky enough to have had a spare panel available for cheap.

I would first try the button on the door that works the pwr locks and then try to open the door from the outside. your inside handle may just be unhooked from the cable the works the latch.

well turning the key to unlock it twice "should unlock" all doors, unless you have an electrical issue going to that system

and as stated above... pulling the handle twice on each door will unlock and open "that" door at least if the electronics are down, unless the child override is set... on the rears

Well i've tried all the options and it still wont unlock, so my question is now, how do I get it open, could I lower the window on the offending door and try a wire coat hanger (or similar) to pull the cable.

im still confused, so you got both front unlocked and opened... so does the electronics work ?
but both rears wont unlock or open and you have tried all...
i going to go out on a limb here and guess the electronics aren't working, would start with fuse, ground wires... get a wiring diagram and start testing volts/amps ?

It is ONLY the n/s/r door that wont open, all 3 other doors are fine and work as they should.

well thanks for clarifying that... sounds like you have something mechanically broken/bad in that one door... sorry i haven't even had the cards off mine yet...

check the A4 section, doors are going to be the same and there are a lot more window/door issues/fixes in that forum...

I don't think so. i think it is unlocked and the mechanical action of releasing the latch is not working.

put your ear to the door and lock/unlock the doors. can you hear the movements within the bad door? If so, then it is unlocked and the issue is that the latch isn't functioning.

I am assuming that it is not a "wont unlock" issue, or an electrical issue, because both of these could be overridden by pulling on the inside door handle twice (unless child locks are on). still, im guessing that the mechanical latch is not being worked. However, if OP can listen for the locking system to work we could at least know whether or not the issue is getting the door unlocked, or getting it unlatched, and then advise accordingly. Also OP, are the child locks on?????
