    Adjustable Control Arms Damaged Wiring

So I was driving in the canyon today with couple friends. I must have cornered too hard and the suspension fault light came on. I scanned it and it says the electric circuit for the suspension leveling sensor has problems. I looked underneath that plastic cap covering the control arms and apparently one of the wires has been pretty badly damaged. I'm wondering how much the repair would be, and I think I saw something from AWE that reroutes the wires but couldnt find it anymore. Has someone came up with a solution for this at all?

It's the 4th item down on the page.

As far as fixing the wiring, I'd find out what gauge it is and then cut the damaged part out. Then just solder a new section in there the length of what you had to cut out. Before that put the same color heat shrink tubing on there and heat it up to cover your exposed wire. After that you could wrap it in electrical tape just to feel more safe, but with the right size heat shrink it shouldn't be a problem.

most just don't go too low and/or don't go back to factory alignment in the front (camber-wise), I did -1.7 in the front, min spec is -1.6.

thanks for the help guys. i did my alignment at the dealer after my last service so it's probably aligned with factory specs. i guess i probably should go with a little more camber in the front to help with this issue and more clearance for the wheels too. im gonna look into soldering the things back together as that doesnt sound too hard

soldering isn't that hard to do. just make sure you use some heat shrink to seal the wires. You may have to use some zip ties or some convolute tubing over the wring to help protect it.
