    Need a little transmission help.

Alright so I started tearing into my 01E for rebuild except when I went to slide the selector shaft out it was getting hung up. I looked in from the selector cover side and the second arm thing(not sure what you call them. the things that actually select the gears) was pushed slightly to the right. I tried to pry it back to align all of the arms but it seems to be stuck. I tried rotating the main shaft while prying but still nothing. How do I go about aligning these so I can get the selector out? I'm also unsure of which arms are for which gears. The transmission is used and I was told the 1-2 collar was locked up.

    Thanks dudes.

If the collar locked up, it's pretty much expected that is going to happen. It's likely stuck in 2nd gear. I would use vise grips to get leverage on the selector shaft (without marring it up) and try to force the car into neutral that way.

Thanks for the reply man. Kinda figured that was the case.

So second lever in is the 1/2 selector? Anyone have a diagram of the pattern when shifting the selector shaft?
