Window regulator help

Does anyone know what the little clip on the left side of the window regulator is for? I just changed mine and now the window won't go down. It moves about 1/8" down and then stops. I'm not sure if it's binding up or if it's hitting something so I'm trying to narrow down what it could be. Thanks!

If someone told you what it was hitting, you'd have to take off the door card again to fix it. So might as well take off the door card to see what the problem is.
