Front Splitter... you guys run???

Man, have you checked out Argon Creative? They make some stellar looking front lips for the RS4 and they are on your side of the pond too. Give them a look on facebook.

It's the front that needs more grip...I think the splitter by itself is accomplishing the balance...or at least improving on it.

It's the front that needs more grip...I think the splitter by itself is accomplishing the balance...or at least improving on it.

If you run a big splitter and insufficient rear aero you get terrible braking characteristics on track. Makes the car tail happy for some reason. Probably due to causing the car to nose dive and nothing to counteract it at the rear to keep the wheels planted.

I guess you got lucky and didn't have to deal with them. There have been quite a few of us in the US where the products have manufacturer defects and they offer no help in fixing the issues. They are quite cocky and rude and overcharge for shipping. I'm glad you got a good product and are happy with it. But Argon Ceative was one of the worst companies to deal with and I'll never shut up about it (even after the multiple emails/ threats from Argon Creative stating that I have to stop sharing my experience with them, though they never responded to the many emails I sent about my issue)

Indeed you are correct. I have noticed that the car is *very* tail-happy and does get into ABS sooner in the rear than the front. I just purchased another trunk lid and plan to put on a Voltex Type 5 to balance out the downforce front to rear.

So i plastidip the rings, and i almost went w the cupra front lips made out of carbon fiber but it was almost 1000$ for it :( so i went a little bit cheaper w the A4/S4 front lip DTM style and could not be happier it was 279$ plus shipping! Here is the link!

i can second this. although they haven't sent me any threats yet. i've got the splitter that replaces the OEM one, it took forever (without communication), was packaged like crap, delivered damaged, and i was basically told to pound dirt.

No, it was a custom job. Much much stiffer than what APR sells. 3/4" foam core with Carbon top and Carbon Kevlar bottom.

Just plastidip, its very easy! U can find at osh or home depot i try a few brands and this ine i liked the most

Where did you source the Carbon Cupra R lip for 1000 from? Spoonfeed has them for 350 I think. I paid like 450 shipped or lower.

The Cupra lip is made for the Cupra/Golf/A3/S3 platform which aren't as wide as the RS4s and so the lip in my opinion isnt wide enough

Yeah that price is crazy high! My Carbon Cupra R to my understanding is standard size and is just a mold of the OEM lip from the SEAT Cupra R.

I've had the OEM Cupra R lip version (ABS Plastic) and Carbon Cupra R version and both look Identical in size, maybe you are refrencing a different lip?

There is a guy that makes the strips and ships them to you (or you could send him your lights) with directions for install!
Did it while I was doing the CC mod!

Your not going to find anything after market that comes remotely close to your current headlights..
Bi-Xenon adaptive run about $1000 a side (from dealer)!
anything aftermarket will be a down grade!
Your best bet is to customise yours!
If you aren't to comfortable doing it yourself, I am sure you can find someone that can do it for you.
The guy I was talking about does it as well... tell him exactly what you want done and he will do it! (he is in Florida)
But search CC Mod (clear corner) DIY and it gives you step by step instructions...
you can give them to someone that is wiling to take the task!

My lights come back tomorrow. I sent them to him for the STI lenses. coderedpl had already blackened out my lights and did the CC mod for me. ( ordered the CC stuff from fly though a few years back).
