wet carpet

both my driver and passenger side carpet in the front of the car are wet. the back seat portion of the carpet is dry. any ideas on what it might be ?

Check your battery tray drain hole. If clogged with debris, you can get some water in the front compartment.

Another risk with water filling the plenum chamber - is water ingress into the vaccuum servo. You might also want to take a look along the sill and footwell, washer fluid pipes for the rear runs there - known to crack, break and come undone in this region.
