I placed an order for borla stainless cat back 140100. First off why call it cat back when its not, I believe it's downpipe back looking at the pictures but my question is will any downpipe mate with it?

We put one on our B5, and it included the downpipe. After two years on the car, the flex pipe started to come apart, contacted Borla, sent them a picture and theysent out a replacement, no questions. So kudos to them for standing behind their exhaust. The sound on it is decent, and good exhaust for the price.

I have the Borla 140100. It is down pipe back. It fits any standard down pipe.

I have been very happy with the sound. It is civilized for daily driving but has a decent growl when you push it. The growl has gotten a bit deeper with the 034 high flow cat that I recently added. I installed the exhaust line back in 2006 at around 50k miles. It has now been on a little over 150k miles and it has held up markedly well. No rust, all the welds still look good.

I did have yto make a few initial adjustments to get it to fit correctly. Hopefully the alignment has been corrected since then. Clicky click

I'm interested in getting the 140100 too (i did place a WTB ad in panjo). The best deal i can find online with coupons is at jet.com, getting it down to around $715 (I'm sure it was in the $6xx last weekend when i checked). Does anybody know if there is a better deal out there? Thanks

I had a Borla exhaust on a B 5 that I used to own and I had a weld break. They replaced the pipe all I did was call them and they sent me a replacement part. They did not ask for any proof or the return of the defective part. I guess I call that good customer service. As a result I put another Borla exhaust on the 2002 B 4 that I'm bringing back from the dead.
