    Wheel questions

I would like to purchase new wheels. I already purchased new tires for a 17" wheel so I am staying with that. My question is for my specific car, a 2004 Audi A4 Avant quattro, what is the stock offset, wheel width and bolt pattern? What offsets and wheel widths can I run with stock suspension without problems?

I am also curious about the hub bore sizes and how that can affect fitment.

stock 17inch wheels I believe are:

    17x7.5 maybe 8 width
    5x112 bolt pattern
    57.1mm hub bore
    ET43 offset

you can really run a lot of wheels being stock suspension and 17inch.

    ET 30-35-40-45
    5x112 bolt pattern
as for bore size try to find 57.1mm but if need be you can get some hub centric rings to help.

Center bore is 57.1, lug pattern is 5x112, stock offset is 40 or 45. 35 is common to find in aftermarket wheels, you can safely push offset into the high-mid 20s on stock suspension, I think 32 is prime, close to flush with fender lip. 17x8 is a good size to run with a 235-245 width tire, fill in gender gap some.
If you find wheels with a larger center bore, you can use hub centric rings to make them fit correctly, most wheel shops should have them. Lots of cool wheels in the classifieds

Does anyone make metal versions of the plastic center caps?
