Hello a little background I have a4 b7 I have a gfb dv, fmic, intake, test pipe, all have about 10k miles on it. Last week I was looking into getting a stage 2+ tune so I bought a hpfp rebuild kit I went to the dealer to but a cam follower to change it... Car has 93k miles I took it out and surprise the cam follower was missing the top and my hpfp was pretty messed up and my cam had bad scaring so I found a dealer to replace it under Warrenty they did it but they saw that my timing chain tensioner was crack so they replaced it and they also said that a sensor above the cam went bad so they replaced that( cost $400) so I went drove it home fine but when I hit the gas(wot) it missed fired bad sounded kinda tough but ran terrible check engine light blinked then stayed on i scanned it and it said misfire #3 so I pulled the plugs and they where all mismatch and only 2 where the ones I put in and the other two the gap was .80ish I bought new plugs still missed #3 I moved the coil packs around still #3 the packs are 45k miles old.... Any ideas what could be wrong? Sorry for the essay

Check the wiring make sure it's not jacked up and maybe switch #3 injector to see if it follows that.
What ever makes sense go with the opposite and you got it

Do you think the dealer might have done something sketchy?

On purpose, I doubt it. Could be just poor mechanic skills to sloppy work. Until you pin point it you wouldn't be able to tell/speculate what happened.

lol yeah just swap your fsi injector its easy , do you have the new Teflon seal and install kit ?
    Biged243 - are you a tech ?

op - take it back to the dealer - it might be mis-timed when they installed the new intake cam.
also not to be a dick but its kinda hard to follow what your saying , use punctuation. you cant use "and" that many times in 1 sentence .

I have not seen any bad wiring on any b7 to date at the dealer so i highly doubt that's it .

Since it happened as you were driving home from the dealership, I think it's clear that they likely caused the issue. I'd give them a call and explain what happened and the timeline (in coherent english).

It could be something as simple as them forgetting to plug in the Cylinder #3 injector.

I agree with Hayden. You picked it up and had these issues driving home. As soon as it happened, I would've called them up and made them fix it as soon as it was limped/towed back over there. It could a simple connector; it could be something much worse. Thing is, get them to own up to it since you obviously drove it there fine. And be polite--that usually helps get things resolved quicker.

Thank you audibot for not busting my chops.... I took my car back to the dealer after a day of test they said it was a bad injector. They said it was going to cost 1100 dollars to fix it, I told them not to fix it I will pick it up on Tuesday. I went to pick it up and as I was driving home I turned the ac on, nothing but hot air came out. I went back and I kinda lost it on the service manager :/ they looked at it and said they accidentally bump the connector and it got loose. I took my keys and will never be back.

A buddy and I are going to take it all apart, clean out the carbon and replace my injectors Hopfully that will fix the problem
