Leave matte or go gloss black?

I was tapped from the rear recently, just cosmetic paint damage on the rear bumper.
The other driver's insurance is taking care of the repair.
I happened to notice there is also a small chip in the finish of the gray plastic mesh insert.
Thought this might be an opportunity to paint the whole thing gloss black?
Anyone do something similar or know what it would look like?

I like matte. I plasti-dipped my rear valance when I had my Stasis exhaust... thought it looked pretty good. Of course, I can't seem to find a picture of it.

I got mine diffuser glossy black but it go great with my brilliant black. Not sure how would it look with white car.

Is that an s line diffuser? I've never seen dual exit on the facelift models

Do you know which one it is? I've only found 3 different diffusers for the s line, enlaes,deval,and s4.

I can't say for certain, but I'm pretty sure it's a eBay pickup - or an eBay reseller pickup.

IMHO it should match your front grille. I painted mine semi matte black. I believe the oem gray is more luxury sport, the semi-matte is more aggressive.
Gloss black might turn out looking cheap.

Btw, if you are doing it yourself here's a tip. SEM Colorcoat w/ their adhesion primer ftw.

I say the default gray since it matches with the grey wheels. I guess I'm impartial since i have ibis and gunmetal wheels as well. If you're looking for something different then matte black would be next.

Don't remember exactly but I believe it was under 5 bills.

This is what I have myself. The RS4 Rep grill (came gloss black but painted it satin black) and kept the oem chrome surround. Then again, I was trying to match my satin black wheels.

I am sure SEM makes a gloss black as well.
