Why not replace your worn stock clutch with something special?

We have three great clutch conversion kits built around our ECS-engineered lightweight RA4 flywheel. This lightweight design reduces rotational mass for faster revs off idle, while its larger clutch contact surface improves clamping for better power transfer.

Improved low-end throttle response. Smooth operation. Less lost power off the line. Stronger and tougher than the original.

If performance is job one on your to-do list, ECS Tuning flywheel kits deliver.

    So Clutch!

I have come across a particular situation to where I am going to replace the pressure plate and clutch disk for an upgrade to hold significantly more power than the Stock B5 S4 disk that comes with the full clutch kit.

But first, need I note that in the 12k miles I have put on this clutch kit, I have loved every second of it!

However, I am now building the car for a 3076R and require something tougher.

here is my question to you ECS,

From my understanding the clutch is made to work with B5 S4 Clutches. Does that include upgraded clutches? ones capable of holding 400ft-lbs tq?

What other Clutches can I use while maintaining this flywheel?

Any 240mm SMFW Upgrades? ClutchMasters? Spec? etc.

Looking at a Spec 3+ Clutch Kit right now, but I need to check with Spec that it will work with the 240mm flywheel and the lengthened slave rod provided in the kit.

I suppose the bottom line is, do I need to purchase a clutch kit for a B5 S4, or a 240mm converted A4?

Your logic is correct. When you run the RA4 conversion flywheel you can fit up just about any clutch that will work for B5 S4. Check out all the additional clutch options we have below.

No not all. Some are meant to work with the OEM flywheel. The Spec Stage 3+ you would need that will work with the RA4 is HERE
