Turbo Blow off valve

So my friend has his 2011 Audi A5 2.0T and I've just notice that his blow off valve is really loud and it's the stock turbo... My question is where can I get a different blow off valve for my A5 12 2.0T
Pretty much the same car but I want mines to sound like that
Idk if I need some new software or where to buy a different blow off valve

Is his/yours tuned? Because IMO to be allowed to make that sound you need some power to back it up, and 211hp isn't it.

Back on topic, check with ECS, they carry Forge.

I haven't done anything to mines .. Aside cosmetic & he also hasn't done anything to it ... He bought light that ... Obviously the previous owner change the valve I'm assuming...or software upgrade ... But his sound way better than the one of this video

Throw a good intake in it and you'll have a nice sound. With no much added power; I'd stay away from just adding a DV

Hit up ECS Tuning for the Forge DV or get one from KMD like WOOTEK's!

Plus, after adding an AFE Pro 5R OE Replacement Air Filter (part #30-10181) my turbo sounds amazing.

My Forge DV makes the "wipple like" sound just like the one on WOOTEK's Video.

Except his has alot ... a whole lot .... more of that extra sweet swoosh sound (KO4 set up)!!

FYI: DV's come with different color springs that you can utilize depending on the amount of power/pressure being produced.

In all honesty, your best bet is to search all the vendor sites on here for best prices and cheaper shipping cost. (even amazon, lol)

DV please buddy, not BOV. I've mentioned many times the 996/997 ones are a great replacement, and increase the sound nicely.

Yes, the DV is moar proper for these cars, and the sound more fitting IMO. I'll research this later. It has been a while. I just know my K04 setup liked the plastic body DV over the two aluminum body valves I tried before. Pretty sure AWE sells exactly what I am speaking of.

i had an HKS SSQV on my 350z .. it was quite the woooooooooshhhhhhhh .. was kinda fun to sneak up on ppl and let it off.. scared the shit out of them

Ahh just looking for a sound. I was saying DV > BOV for application reasons. Running open atmosphere is not ideal and recirculating is better

The only thing that can blow off the pressure to the atmosphere is a blow-off valve or an atmospheric dump spacer (essentially nothing more than a noise maker, i'd contend these HURT performance). A DV physically cannot make the same sound as a BOV as one dumps the air back into the intake tract, the other to the atmosphere. Also worth noting, true atmospheric blow off valves are not advised for our vehicles as the car accounts for the recirculated air. If you vent that pressure to the atmosphere, the vehicle is receiving less air that it thinks it should receive when off boost.

exactly. DV's only for our cars. But I think most people dont know the difference and the name for it just becomes blurred into the same thing.

i had a Carbonio intake a forged diverter valve on my B7,great setup IMO, but BOV's are NOT meant for our cars. end of thread, be stupid to have one .
