    2010 A4 sline 6-speed limp mode ?!?

    Hello Everyone,

Long time lurker , 1st time posting. I am in need of some help. So today I was driving to long island and sort of doze off at the wheel. I caught myself in time before hitting anything or anyone. But when i jerked back into my lane aggressively my car stopped giving as much power. It feels like limp mode. When im in neutral it doesn't go past 4,000rpm's. When driving it just seems to bog down not really going anywhere. Any ideas on how to fix this. I live in the NYC area. I have no warranty. Can anyone please help me.

See if you can get someone with a vag-com cable to see what error codes are thrown.

ok, I will have to try asking someone in the local thread. Is driving the car like this for a day going to do any damage to the motor? Would auto-zone be able to pull the codes?

Hard to say without knowing what's wrong. I wouldn't drive it but that's just an opinion. Not sure if AutoZone can I've never used them.

Any dash lights lit? Everytime i've been in limp mode, the dash lights up like a Christmas tree. Like others mentioned, going to be hard to diagnose here without the logs.

DItto on what booost said; the inability to rev past 4k while in neutral is completely normal.
