When I got this thing, my initial thoughts were "How the hell is this little chunk of aluminum going to make any difference?!" but since my car was on the lifts for an exhaust install, I figured what the hell. Now that I've gotten the car back and driven it all weekend... well add me to the list of believers.

The difference is huge in the lower gears. It's the most noticeable in S mode, not sure if it actually shifts quicker or not, but it's certainly feels an order of magnitude more smooth. Gone is the rough downshift from 3-2 and 2-1. It's now crisp and smooth. There's also significantly less jerk when going to 2-3 and 3-4 when accelerating at a medium pace. Definitely worth the price of admission, very happy with it.

    Here is my 2cents

First of all impressive shipping from State to Sydney 4workings days.....faster than shipping interstate in Australia.

I had these mount on my B8 so I knew they worth every penny but didn't expected to work this well.

Stock S7 have borderline unbearable downshift in dynamic when driving in city the whole car literally throw you forward as if you slam on the brake hard. With the mount installed I can confirmed the downshift is so much more smoother and way less jerky.

This is my first dsg car and on stock form I was slightly disappointed as I felt shes not that much better than my old tiptronic but after the tranny mount I can finally feel the smoothness and the speed of changing gear!

    Great product 034!

Pardon my ignorance but what kind of change could I expect with the upgraded diff bushings?

    Great question!

    What do they do?

Each insert fills a void in one of the factory rear differential carrier mounts/bushings. There are two of these carrier mounts located behind the rear differential, and they are designed to limit NVH transfer into the cabin from the differential.

The soft nature of the factory mounts allow the differential to twist under load, resulting in unnecessary drivetrain movement (and sometimes clunks) that can be observed when accelerating, decelerating, and shifting. 034Motorsport Rear Differential Carrier Inserts are designed to limit this movement by filling the voids in the factory part, without putting any preload on the rubber mounts. This allows the mount to continue limiting NVH transfer into the cabin, but reduces the slop in the drivetrain under load. By reducing the slop from the factory mounts, these inserts allow for harder launches, crisper shifts and throttle transitions, and more direct feedback from the rear differential, especially during corner exit.

We also decided to render the stock mount along with one insert to highlight how the part installs. The stock mounts resides in the rear subframe, and do not need to be removed for installation of these inserts. The installation is very straightforward, and you can view our Installation Instructions for a list of tools needed, step-by-step details, and torque specs.

I would just like to add that Im very frustrated right now. Why do companies choose to do signature required without letting the buyer know this? I work every day until 8pm and there is nobody at my house other than my cat who cannot use a pen. I cant sign the slip that is left on my door because an "in person" signature is required. I very well might have this piece shipped back unexpectedly because I cant take a day off to sign for it. Why???? I have since stopped laughing at the instructions.

Whoops! I'm sorry to hear about this issue. We usually do not require signature for delivery on orders unless the customer requests it during checkout. I'll check with our Shipping Department and see what happened with your order. Could you PM me your order info or first and last name?

I know how frustrating it can be to come home to one of those notices; it happens to me all the time.

*sigh* Sometimes I regret going with a D4. It is such an uncommon platform that no one makes any aftermarket parts for it.

I do wonder if the trans insert and those future carrier mounts will work with the D4. I do not see Audi differing the mounts just for a slightly larger chassis...

I do wonder if the trans insert and those future carrier mounts will work with the D4. I do not see Audi differing the mounts just for a slightly larger chassis...
These upcoming differential mount inserts will fit the D4! They use the same mounting components as the B8/C7.

There is a good chance that our B8 Transmission Mount Insert will fit your D4. We're waiting for a car to come in and verify fitment on. If you already have the insert on your S5, take a minute to see if it swaps over!
