Can you lose boost after installing a FMIC

I know I went dark after posting an intro, but I have been really busy between snowboarding and work. The car though, I have been running at 10psi on an APR 93 tune, I was told by the previous owner the boost went down after installing the fmic, but I'm not so convinced, Don't know the brand, so I'm going to assume eBay. I'm trying to make it run as it should before I sell it later this month. Does anyone have input, could it be the intercooler, piping, or just boost loss due to travel and volume of the intercooler?

You shouldn't be losing ~8psi from a FMIC. Do a boost leak test.

Yes: You can have a boost drop after installing a FMIC.
No: A normal FMIC will not drop 8 psi if everything is fine. About 1psi drop at 20psi is normal.

    Do a boost leak test.

Sounds like the car might be in limp mode. What year is the car? 10psi tends to be boost pressure while in limp mode on a aftermarket K03 tune.
