Looking for an exhaust

Hello,

I have a 2014 S4 under lease and I want to make it louder. Unfortunately, I don't know much about exhausts for the car. What do you guys recommend? Any suggestions and advice is appreciated.

There are a few to choose from. The most popular seems to be AWE. Stasis has one as well and so does Militek. However if you don't want to shell out a lot of money at the moment and want some increased sound a lot of people replace factory center resonator with a magnaflow x-pipe.

I got my AWE exhaust from Supreme Power http://www.supremepower.com Ask for Eric, he knows Audis and also has a S4 B8.5. Tell him Eurowerkes referred you.

AWE or Armytrix, if you can afford it, period. Stasis is gone - don't bother. That exhaust sounded like crap in my opinion anyways.

Picked up the Milltek Resonated exhaust a couple months ago. Wasnt quite agressive enough so I got the front resonator cut out. Much better now. Love it.

This sums it up very well.

But I have the Awe full touring exhaust with down pipes. And its awesome. Its not crazy loud and its not quiet either. You have to consider all options . The AWE isn't that loud when your crusing. But when you get on it it gets loud.

Get the miltek valved exhaust so you can have your cake and eat it too. i have it on my 14 and love it

Being that you are on a lease, you will want to be able to put the stock exhaust back on at lease end. The cheapest way to do it is the X pipe mod.

How loud do you really want it to be? Is the car manual or DSG?

I personally think the AWE and APR Exhausts sound the best and the Milltek tends to be quietest. If you want nice sound from the car but not super loud, get the AWE-Touring. Bang for your buck its hard to beat. Let me know if you would like pricing.

I just bought and installed the awe touring exhaust catback for my 2013 and love it. It does drone on the highway but I plan on purchasing the downpipes in the fall to eliminate that.

The s4 has always packaged the 3.0t, unlike the s5 which recently swapped to the 3.0t as of 2013 model year.

This is incorrect. The S4 has always had the 3.0TFSI. I think starting in 2012 the S5 started shipping with only the 3.0TFSI, prior to that it was available with a 4.2 NA V8.

I'm looking into AWE's non-resonated downpipes. Thoughts on this? Negatives? I heard it can leave the check engine light on, void warranty, smell a bit and possibly be illegal if it's catless. Any help?

The AWE Tuning Downpipes do NOT alter the stock cats in any way so there is no risk of any of those issues!
