Problems with clutc when using ebrake with stoptech rear BBK, at least I think. Help?

I have a stoptech 4 piston BBK rear set up on my sedan. The car came with them on and they look awesome, also did fine when I took the car out to the track on the road course. I have an odd issue though after setting the e brake. I cant get the car into reverse, unless first moving the car in first gear a few inches after I use the ebrake. BTW, the set up uses a separate ebrake caliper. Im trying to figure out of the rear BBK is causing the issue, specifically the ebrake part of the kit and if others with upgraded rears have experienced similar. I was thinking maybe there is air in the system causing issues with the slave cylinder, but it only happens when I set the ebrake (BTW, I need to pull the ebrake very high up in order for it to actually engage and stop the car from rolling). If I don't pull up as high on the ebrake, the issue seems to be non existent. MY other idea is maybe the slave is leaking and is somehow more effected when I set the ebrake, but I have no clue lol. It seems like the two are related somehow. I daily drive the car and its a small but annoying issue, so any insight might be helpful. And yes, people say the rear BBK is overkill but that's not what I want to discuss. Thanks for the help! IM starting to feel like this when I try put my car into reverse

I would say it isnt the brakes.

Putting it in 1st and lining up things like the gears/synchros is prob what is making it happy.
There are only 2 things needed to make an Audi work properly - Duct tape and WD40. If it moves and it shouldn't - Duct tape. If it doesn’t move and it should - WD40.

Left foot clutch, right foot brake, release ebrake, then put it in reverse. Not really sure why you have to shift into reverse with the ebrake on.

Zillarob, I didn't think of that but it makes sense now that you say it. All other gears work fine so I didn't think it would be synchros as that's typically a first and second issue, although I know reverse is related. I'm gonna try a few things before I consider getting the trans rebuilt (id probably wait until it gets a lot worse if/when I does). Ill try putting in all new trans fluid and swapping the slave and bleeding the system before I go that far.

I also have a 4 wheel kit but I've only got the ST22 dual piston caliper, not the ST40. I've never experienced an issue like you state. It shouldn't have anything to do w/ hydraulics or the brake fluid system if you are talking about the ebrake. It is on a cable so using that has nothing to do w/ hydraulics. You can adjust the ebrake cable length which might help the length of the throw required when you pull up on the handle. I'm thinking the theory of putting it into 1st to get things in the tranny a bit more lined up is good theory. Sometimes I have to drop the car into second before I can get first gear but that is few and far between.

Tracked down a previous long time owner of the car......I'm going to try to adjust the short shifter and start there first. I prefer it not being trans issues lol
