Thumbs up Made the move to an A6!

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Pulled the trigger to take advantage of President's Day sales and traded my 2012 A4 Avant for a 2015 Glacier White (black interior) A6 with Premium Plus and 19" Sport Package. Engine is the 2.0T, and while I know that many of you are fans of the 3.0T, the 2.0T honestly suits my driving needs.

Love this car; the size, comfort, Bose, side assist - all make a huge difference in ride enjoyment. The larger MMI screen makes reading the navigation so much easier than the A4 and also appreciate the larger display in the instrument cluster. LED lights for the gas and temperature are a nice touch as well. 19" sport package makes a difference in handling and appearance - and appreciate the advice to make sure I got it.

Finally, I owe a big "thank you" to this forum for all your help in answering my questions and for your suggestions!

    Pictures to follow!

    Mike.

Well done! Oh, and APR just released some impressive numbers for their new 2.0t tune. Faster than the stock 3.0t!

A6 is a great upgrade if you need the size, from my experience i was surprised how weak the 2.0t felt in the a6 vs the a4 or especially vs the a3 which almost felt like it was tuned. i hope a tune is in your list of plans.....

Just got my 2015 A6 2.0T as well. I traded in my 2015 S3 after realizing that I needed more space and mpg than speed. I also love the sophistication that comes with the A6 . So far I'm extremely happy with the performance. The CVT is a weird experience coming from a DSG dual clutch system of the S3. I drive very conservative nowadays so I could care less about trying to race people. The power isn't mind blowing but it's plenty enough for my daily driving needs.

    Congratulations to you as well.

I debated between the engines, but in the end found the 2.0T to be sufficient power for my daily driving needs.

I agree ! The only the disappointment that I have is the quality of the screen resolution for the back up camera and the 3G connectivity. My S3 had 4g LTE and the camera was crystal clear and sharp! I wonder if the 3G can be upgraded for the LTE version?

Welcome to the C7 family. The A6 is a great all around vehicle. I myself could not go with a CVT after being exposed to the AWD quattro nor with another 2.0T after my last A6 with the 3.0T. Undoubtedly, the 2.0T with CVT is still a great engine/transmission set that provides excellent for fuel economy. For the size of the A6, I didn't think it was fitting, but after having a loaner with this setup for a week, it proved worthy for the chassis. I hope you two enjoy!

As far as the LTE upgrade, sources say nothing at this time but only time will tell. I'm hoping for the same to, because this 3G blows!

Thanks again to everyone. Audi makes a terrific car as this is my second in a row. Now, if only I could covert my wife away from MB...

But, yes, the camera graphics are not great.

4g would be nice and I almost held-out for the 2016 MY. With the winter in the NE, however, cars were just not selling, and I found a high-volume dealer with plenty of 2015 models that they had to sell and the deal was simply too good to pass up.

But as said before, coming from an A4, the A6 simply offers so much more presence, comfort, and sophistication that even though I might have missed out on upgrades for the 2016 MY, I still came out ahead compared to what I previously drove.

Congrats to both of you and also welcome to the C7 club. A6 is a great car and 2.0T is a awesome little engine, I had one in a Q5.

congrats! Since Audi isn't pumping these out in the volume of BMW or MB, you will also enjoy the more exclusivity of driving this Audi!
