    Fan/Humming Noise in Engine Compartment?

    Fan/Humming Noise in Engine Compartment. This is a few minutes after I shut the car off.

    Any ideas what this is? First time i hear it.

    I think I heard something similar when I turned off my car but only 1-2sec and then it "clicks" and this sound is gone. But not sure if that same... Anyway.... Wow your engine bay got soooooo much salt in it.... Steam it! I would die to see mine looks like this. I remove as much salt as I can every week or so and lubricate all nuts and bolts and moving parts I can...

    That sounds a bit different that mine, but I assume it's the auxiliary water pump that keeps coolant flowing to cool the turbo bearings after shutdown. Should stop after a minute or so.

    I've heard it before but never this loud! Also it seems to last around 4-5minutes.
