Has anyone with GIAC Stage 2 or Apr Stage 2 tracked their SQ5's?

Any feedback on which setup is faster ?

What are the 1/4 mile times and speed ?

    Thanks

    Scottisha ran a 12.6 @ 107mph with his normal Q5 3.0T and APR Stage 2+ (tune/pulley) on 93 octane.

    A GIAC 2+ Q5 ran 12.5 @ 109.5mph...

The SQ5 may be a little quicker than those due to the higher gearing, but otherwise shouldn't be much different. Personally, GIAC appears to be a little stronger across the 3.0T platform, so that's who I would go with.

I haven't had a chance to track mine yet. That being said the increase in power was huge for the amount of money. 3.0t q5 is make stock sq5 power, tuned sq5 is pushing 355-360 awhp which is pretty decent power for an suv of that size. Noticeable bump in power with the exhaust and intake too.

A Q5 and SQ5, both with 2+ software and pulley will make essentially the same power. It's the same engine.

Sorry bud but not true. The numbers are out there. There are different components that come into play like the exhaust systems and the cooling systems.

Haha. I'm not going to argue with you.

    Surely you can't be serious.

We've seen two tuned 3.0T Q5s run the 1/4 mile @ 12.5 and 12.6 (GIAC and APR, respectively). The stock SQ5 runs a 13.5. What you're saying makes no sense.

Look at APR's dynos for the SQ5 stage 2 and the Q5 3.0T stage 2. Hint: they dyno'd within 3whp of each other.

yeah me too... I thought that the SQ5 will be more aggressive to separate to Q model and the SQ model... not as much as the srt-8 and the jeep but lttle bit in that way...at idle the 2015 wrx of my friend is more badass lol

    R&T tested an SQ5 to 13.1.

There was plenty of press out there that the SQ5 3.0T had upgrades over the standard 3.0T and perhaps over the one used in the S4s and S5s. those stories obviously relied on information from Audi so im not in the camp that says there is zero difference between engines. I know spijun has posted his screen shots again and again but thats not definitive to me.

Regardless i think any upgrades benefit longevity/durability and not ability to make power. A tuned SQ5 as you noted could be a few tenths quicker due to the gearing but the additional cooling capacity will (should) keep it at that level of performance significantly longer than a tuned 3.0T. I hope someone gets to the track to find out what a stage 2 SQ5 can do. I came from the Jeep SRT world and folks tracked and dynod allll the time - way less conjecture and way more consensus. SRT engineers used to do chats with the community as well and couldve cleared up the engine question.
