Separating inner cv joint housing from axle

On my Allroad, the inner housing where the triple rollers are, need to be cleaned, but do you hammer out the housing from the axle first and then remove the triple roller star from the axle also by tapping it out? There is no end cap in the housing/flange to tap out so it seems the housing needs ti be removed somehow first. Does anyone know how these all come off? Axle is AAR3300i with non round machine shape. Thanks

Update: I see it can be done with special tool T40018, seems like not worth taking it all apart to clean and will just take out as much old grease as possible.
