HELP! Missing wire for AWE boost gauge operation

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I took apart my fuse box and do not have the Black/Red wire notated in the directions. Any idea why? or an alternate place to tap into?

    Thanks

There is no way it's not there. Look carefully behind the 3 fuse panel there should be thin wires than the other or the same. There will be a wire black with yellow lining and the other required wires. Have patience and take your time don't rush.

The directions say black with red line. I see a black and red wire coming from the Black fuse box, not the brown. Could it be that wire? Thanks

What is the function of the wire from the boost guage you are trying to tap into the black wire?

To access switched 12v power. All the other wires were there and i hooked them up without any problems. This wire doesn't seem to exist. I have it wired so the backlighting goes on when i turn my lights on.

Check it out. Here is my fuse boxes with the labels. According to the AWE instructions the wire is at the top of the fuse box and it looks like i should be taping into 5/30A Aux Waterpump. I don't have a fuse and/or wire for that space.

I did and there is a black/red wire. It goes to the Gearshift Gate fuse. I would just like to know what i am taping into before i do. I have a call into AWE to see if i can get some clarification.

I think the best place would be to tap j to the garage door opener wire since that shuts off when the car is off. Will have to wait until I get home from work to test it.

To close this out for those who search.

Called AWE - quick response and support.

I do not have the wire mentioned I the directions. I tested a few other sources and ended up taping into the home link wire. Gauge works great now!

Thank You for this! I am ordering the gauge this week. This will help me stay out of "panic mode" if I can't find the wire lol

I've had this gauge installed for about a month and the sender unit already went bad. I contacted AWE about it, and they told me to contact the dealer I got it from.

You have replace your crank case breather hose with the AWE (or other brand) boost tap.
