Having trouble with Coolant flush on B8 A4

    Hello All,

I tried my best to search. I did find a diy on the coolant flush, but i was stuck on the part where I have to remove/turn the nozzle (under the belly pan). I turned it counter clockwise and clockwise and nothing was spilling out. is there a special trick to turn the release nozzle (under the belly pan) or is it just a simple turn? some guidance would help, thanks!

Just did a flush on my s4 and you will need to pull tab after the twist to open the valve.

and when refilling, do you just refill from reservoir and that would refill the radiator too? or is there a separate fill for the radiator?

I just filled it through the reservoir. End up pouring about 7 quarts which should be the coolant capacity.

You should use a vacuum refill tool (about $59 on Ebay) to prevent any air pockets. That is how the factory fills the coolant system.
It is sometimes difficult to do a conventional bleeding procedure to get trapped air out.

Does the car need to go onto a stand?
