Question about Navigation - MMI

I have a 2009 A4 B8, and I recently rode in my friend's 2010 A4 B8. The navigation screen looks different though. My turn by turn directions appear 1 at a time between the speedometer and tachometer whereas she has turn by turn directions for the next 3 "moves" on the left hand side of her navigation map. Is there a software update where I can get the same experience on my Navi?

For changing my seat heater temp, I also noticed her settings overlay the maps screen whereas mine completely changes to just a seat temp control screen without the overlay.

I tried going the through all the various settings, but I couldn't find the options to change these items.

I expect the differences you noted are due to the 2G MMI system vs. the 3G MMI system. They use completely different hardware.
