What is the best CAI for the money for the C7 A6? In other words, I'm not interested in spending $500+ on one...is it worth it? It there one out the for a couple hundred bucks that is decent?

There is no true CAI for that money out there. I know of a USP intake but thats close to 500 bucks. AWE is coming out with their own and based on how good their products are - I see it being at least 500 bucks. Leaves us with three options- injen (not a true CAI but I am going for it). Roc Euro (not a true CAI again ~350bucks). Get a custom intake built by a shop that would run down to the bumper - will get expensive due to labor rates.

Roc-euro has an intake. Click on the B8 and the next page show preorder for C7 with $50 discount and free shipping. I don't know who ordered the first one and is getting a free shirt:)

What are you looking to accomplish with it? I know at least for other cars, Injen is actually less efficient than OEM (I haven't looked at them for the C7) so you may be paying money to hear the supercharger whine and lose power.

Nothing. I just like to keep my car up to date. It bothers me knowing my MMI is out of date version wise. Can I do this update myself? Download and install myself for free?

Just looking for an inexpensive mod to give some incremental boost.

Then I would skip it and save the money since I doubt you'll squeeze enough power out of the $500 to notice and might even lose out.

I'm thinking that. It would be a fair assumption that the APR ECU should always be the first major mod?!?
