I need your opinions. Looking to add some CF

Ok I love my cab but want to take it up a notch and give it a more sinister look but don't want to pimp it out.
Here is what I have so far.
1. Mops is sourcing me a Deval CF front lip spoiler.
2. Bought an RS5 rear trunk lid spoiler (not installed yet)
3. Ordered a set of CF replacement mirror covers
4. Still debating the Deval CF rear diffuser?

Here is my S5 to give you an idea of colors I'm dealing with.

I know you guys will tell me Ecodes.. (On my list)

If I have CF on the front lip, rear diffuser, and mirror covers, would you wrap the trunk lid spoiler in CF or paint body color (Quartz Grey)?
I'm also thinking of wrapping the silver trim around the lower edge of the windows which also wraps around the convertible top cover in a satin or matte black vinyl? I would also like to get rid of the aluminum frame around the windshield? What would you do there? Vinyl wrap body color? Continue the black from the window frame in vinyl? Or am I overthinking all this? I also swapped out the chrome rings around the fog lights for the BO kind and replaced the grill with an RS5 black gloss grill.
Will all this CF look good with the grey or too much?

I had both the Deval CF front lip spoiler and the rear diffuser and I loved them. I think you should definitely do the diffuser as well. I would get so much compliments on the diffuser and it just stands out so well with a nice set of exhaust tips ;)

The CF front lip, and rear valence is going to look awesome. That lip is on my short list. Caps will look good for sure. The trims are tough. I will say black windshield trim will look odd with the black top. I am thinking color matched QG would look cool. For the windows and around, black could look really nice. No need to keep that Alu with your other mods. Do this…. take some electrical tape and hit that area. No need to spend more than 20, and step back. You'll know then if it will look good. Hope that helps.

I waffled on satin black trim for a year. 20 minutes on one side and tape sealed the deal.

Gloss black the window trim and windshield trim. I would vinyl wrap it. Leave the mirrors alone. It's a S. They always have aluminum mirrors. If you really don't like them then I would get body color paint to match. Carbon mirrors are gonna be to much. Rear spoiler paint body color

I actually think the rear deck lid spoiler will look like a stick on part regardless of color. It's not fluid with the lines of he car, but I still like the way it looks. Here's an example:

Thanks Jimmy. I don't mind the mirrors in aluminum but ordered the CF replacements. I may use them or not. We'll see. I'm stuck on the frame around the windshield, the aluminum frame looks terrible. I may try Mops idea of black tape so I could test the black look.

personally would not do the windshield as the alum is a signature cab feature but thats just me

i would colormatch the lip spoiler

i also feel the mirrors should be left alone, cf mirrors look out of place imo if the car isnt a dark color

Ugh, I usually think Cuppa has great taste, but I can't stand CF hydrodip. It looks cheap and tacky to me, especially when compared next to any real carbon fiber. It might look okay in a picture away from real CF, but up close IRL it looks awful, IMHO. It looks even less like CF than the CF vinyl wrap, which I also think looks cheap and tacky, so that's saying something.

I actually got notification today that my CF mirror order never went thru. Ordered thru Aliexpress seller DCF. I think I'll hold off on the mirrors and wait to install the front lip and rear diffuser first then decide on the mirrors. I'm still torn on the rear spoiler. The CF wrap seems pretty cheap looking. I may paint it body color.

Btw , the order on the mirrors is cancelled. I actually like Alu mirrors but the trim bothers me. The aluminum A pillar is what I struggle with but I'll leave it alone for now.

@srfrboy.. I noticed you installed the AluKruez on your cab? Did you have any issues with the install? I wanted it last year when I ordered the USS sway bars and end links but Eurocode told me the AK wasn't compatible with the cabriolet..

No install issues what so ever. Really stiffened up the car.

Interesting...I called them again today and they reiterated their stance that it's not compatible with the cabriolet. I wrote it off until I saw your signature now You got me interested. I've struggled with the jittery characteristics of the handling even with the sways and coilovers.

Looks good for the B8.5 but looks terrible for the B8. The rear valance is also kind of boring on the B8. Pricey too. So I'm actually saving money by buying the Deval front lip spoiler and rear valance

It very much depends who you use and what film/transfer they use, so I would agree you wouldn't just go anywhere and get the parts done or you would regret it - you need to find the right place to do it, using the right transfers, processes and level of quality and finish with layering up the lacquer as you would with real CF. Most places use a very flat looking transfer and do a poor job with the adhesion and finish and it ends up peeling rapidly and looking like shit. I am very exacting in what I look for and there's only one place I felt comfortable using - wouldn't have had it done at all if they hadn't been able to deliver such a good job.

I think it would be a damn hard thing to do to get all that honeycomb grille in real CF.

I agree. Only do real carbon fiber. The wrap doesn't look real. Hydro dip looks like spray paint. Wrap you could maybe only get away with on interior trim.

you are right regarding B8 but i was thinking you already spending $$ on E codes front lip .... how about change the whole front end and why you need rear valance if you already got RS5 trunk spoiler ........ btw how much you pay for the trunk spoiler ??

Good to hear. I'll try and find a used one and give it a try. I spoke to Eurocode tuning directly last year and tried again yesterday. No good explanation except it "wasn't compatible". Glad to hear you've had no issues.

Either way I hate the way the 3M CF film looks. It does look cheap. I will probably paint it body color.
