Rough Idle at stop lights after driving on the freeway

    Hey Everyone.

Recently I have noticed when after driving my car for about an hour on the freeway - getting off and then sitting at a stop light. Seems like the vehicle is running rougher than normal at the stop light while sitting and idling in Drive. No check engine light - temp gauges seem normal. This occurs sometimes and not others- under normal driving conditions. Was wondering if anyone else ran into this.

    Thanks!

Rough idle has been an issue with these cars from day #1. All 3 of my B8 s4 have had the same issue and it is NORMAL. What I have personally observed is that idle RPMS will vary. If and when the RPMS get below 750, the engine idle IS rough. I know that due to the many complaints, Audi issued TSB 24AS. It is a reprogram of the ECU to diminish the rough idle issue. Not sure it pertains to all model years. I had it done on my 2011, only because it was going in for service to make a new ignition key. I have not noticed a significant change , but others have.
