    Question about RS Grille Plate Holder

    Has anyone tried this to see if it would fit the pre facelift RS grilles?? I am stuck in a state where it is a moving violation to not have a front plate so I have to have one and am looking at getting rid of the tow hook plate. I understand you can get a normal frame and bolt it to the grille, but I am looking at OEM solutions.

    I used this MkIV VW part to make the magnet mount on my B7. Found them online for $5 each and ordered a few: 1K0807285A9B9

    Yep know about the magnet mod as well lol was going to use the park sensors to hold the magnets

    It was a couple years ago, I think I got them through RockAuto. I don't see them that cheap anymore, but it's still cheaper than $165. Otherwise, I'd just use one of the universal mounts from Amazon.

    Ya like I said in op I know about the cheap options and even have the parts for the cheap option. The OEM solution or even a magnet mod would be best for me so I can remove and switch to my europlate
