Headlight please help!

Hey guys, (2010 A4 2.0t FWD Prestige Plus)

So the previous owner of my car for some reason (for profit or accident) switched from the oem LED headlights, to Halogen lights.

The high beams in the halogens dont work (so could it just be the highbeam bulbs or is it because these lights are not programmed to the car?)

The corner lights dont work (so same applies, could it be bulbs or programming)


and my biggest question, should i just buy a used set of xenons with ballasts and swap them back in, BUT my car on startup says "headlight distance control malfunction" so do i HAVE to buy specific xenons, or can i get ones with or without AFS/and or Curve, and put them back in my car.

i assume i dont need that one adapter cord that cars that came with halogens and then switch to xenons need, since my car originally came with xenons.

Hi beams not work - probably due harness, coding, maybe bulbs aswell but probably first option.
Halogen has no corner lights.
If you had afs, you need afs as module afs or non-afs is different and harness i belive(but non afs lights should work aswell, maybe need some modification with harness to make them work properly and there may stay some errors in ecu perminent).
No you not need adapter.
Hopefully previous owner has nothing changed in harness.
You can change codes for halogen, first byte should be 69(xenon is 26) and byte 14 and 15 is 5F- but i dont think it will make your highbeam work as its harness related!
