Ok so we had some heavy snow in Va this past week and my car is super slammed. Anyways i got stick in the snow a couple times and just decided to park it and not drive it until it melted. Well it finally melted and i took it for a drive. It was dark out and i didnt see but there was atleast a foot of water in a dip in the road it was probably 10 ft across i went thru it at 30 mph and the car almost stopped while crossing also an suv was next to me and covered the whole car in water too. I stopped and checked everything it seemed fine intake wasnt wet or nothing. Couple days later im driving and i smell clutch burning. I freak out and stop the car and let it cool then go on. 30 minutes later the smell reappears. I try a slip test and there is none i put the car in first on a hill and it climbs it with no throttle. Well then i noticed something i only get the smell if the heat is on. And it gets stronger the higher i turn the fan on. The car shifts fine and takes off fine. I can double clutch or downshift just fine i even let the car stall and it kick like a bull. So could it be just the heater core? Or did i glaze the clutch?
