You need some tools... Just grab em. I hate describing what tools to use, so I won't be help there, but there are some pix.
I was able to just pry open the front fog light grill with a tiny pliars, so whatever you can jam in there, and pull will work. Plus, a star shape security bit, which I happen to have. That and small-ish zip ties. about 12 or so or more.
Took me about 20 min to install. I used Xentec, which I'm not liking at this moment, because I used it on my motorcycle and they were fine, but the color is more green than yellow for their 3k HID:
Pop the grill from fog light housing. Those galvanized screws underneath, get them out. You have to sorta wiggle the fog light housing a bit to get them out. Note. I'm in DC and this is 20 minutes after I washed my car, because weather sucks right now.

This is what it looks like when you pop it out, stick the fog lights. What you have to do is, stick the ballast inside the fog light housing, then pull it out to the left opening (for the right fog). Then stick your fog light in there.

For Xantec, you have to use the provided clip, because the clip doesn't work. See the + and - Mark on the original? Use the supplied wires, and put the positive + on the right side of the clip, where it has the little popped up clicker indent. It just sticks in.

The 3m ballast is pretty simple. I had a good spot on to post the ballast - you see that middle column? That's where I stuck it. Fits perfect and the grill don't have a clip for that middle part. Very open on the left side.

Make sure you turn it on to make sure it works before you start mounting things. Rookie mistake.
Now the right side - passenger side, is a lot more difficult, because of this big hunk of thing:

So, after you unbolt the fog light, see the small round hole in the right side? It has the white clip that the wire mounts to. Poke it with something to release it.

Then you can route the stock wires and zip tie it, so it's not going to touch that big thing.

Then you connect your wires, and make sure it's tight:

Then, you mount the ballast at the same place. Make sure nothing dangles because when you're driving they might make the most annoying noise ever. Just zip tie everything:

here is the right side done

Both side done

Then pack up, clean up, and enjoy you lights. Here are some night snow pix:

Only HID Fog

Fog and headlight

Fog only

The fog hid shapes are pretty awesome. cool wedge, like a knife. Lots of side coverage.

Turned out pretty green... was disappointed...

With headlight on

The beam pattern is very defined:

Little things:
1. Pull from the grill outward toward the fender - They're really strong, so don't worry about it
2. The grill doesn't line up 100% with the fog light. Drives me nuts, but that's how it is. There is a little gap
3. Don't touch the bulb. Whatever you do, don't touch it. It'll blow out within 2 minutes if there are any oil on it or scratch. Wear plastic gloves.
4. Took me 20 minutes. Easy to do.
The heat is very min. and no melting.
The end.
