Only one speaker works...all of a sudden

I pull my car into the driveway for a wash n wax/detail with all four speaker/tweeters working. Up to this point I've had zero problems with the radio and/or speakers. I go to get into my car to move her, and boom... Only the front passenger speaker/tweeter works. Nothing from any of the other ones.

When I mess with the balance, I move it all the way to the left and you can hear the passenger side dim, as it's supposed to as the driver side would get louder. I then move it back to mid where the speaker should be at normal settings. I then proceed to move it to the right, as the right side should get louder while the left side dims. However, the only working speaker(front right), stays at the same volume. What is going on?

    Thanks!

Just throwing a guess out there, maybe the amp shit the bed? Gotta be either the head unit or the amp. It's not realistic to assume that the rest of the speakers died simultaneously.

Running a vagcom scan on the head unit, as suggested above, is a good start.

Ok... So I use the tape deck still as I haven't had the money for my navi yet, and it appears the chord with attaches to the cassette was loose/bad. The little things in life... Thanks guys

Is it Bose? Afaik all the speakers are powered from the amp in the back with Bose. Just the front with non Bose. May help diagnostically.
Scanning will tell you if there is anything open/shorted.

Edit : just read last post. Nvm
