    Help!! HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP 2011 A6; 3.0L; On Engine

    I need to replace my high pressure fuel pump, Does anyone know if high pressure fuel pumps backward compatible, i have 2011 A6 3.0 L, fuel pump number 07L127026K, i found a great deal for a pump from 2013 Audi A6 A7 with part number 07L127026AB, will it work for my engine, any input would be greatly appreciated.

    According to the compatibility check on ECS Tuning's site, no, it will not work.

    If it were me, I would install the part that is designed for your car.

    no, I'm not answering your question other than to say my observation of VAG parts is that the last character(s) of the part number do not typically indicate a supersession (sp?) chain, unlike many manufacturers.
    But I am curious what are your symptoms of a bad HPFP? is it leaking by any chance?
    There was a 2011 C6.5 that went up in flames in the owners driveway about a year ago.
