Long Island - Aluminum Trip wrap

I am looking to get the aluminum trim wrapped as that seems to be the best option for blacking it out. People who have done it themselves have said it takes 8 hours so I rather have it done professionally. Phenomenal Vinyl was recommended, but I was quoted $300 from them which seems expensive. I just called Exclusive Vinyl and they would charge $190, which is more reasonable. Are there any other shops anyone would recommend? If not, I'll probably go with Exclusive Vinyl.

Get what you pay for. Use P Vinyl. Great guy. Incredible work. Clean shop. 100 dollars aint much for piece of mind.

$300 seems high compared to what I've heard from others. And Exclusive Vinyl seems to be rated highly as well.

I normally agree with the "you get what you pay for" mentality, but I'm pretty sure any professional can wrap a set of trim with their eyes closed.

Does that price you were quoted include removal and reinstallation of the trim, or do they want you to take it off yourself and drop it off to them?

Yea they have to remove it so they can wrap the vinyl around to the back of the trim. I can't imagine it would look good if they didn't.

Awesome ride. I was there in the afternoon. When they started up your car, I was like holy shit and had to go check it out because I couldn't tell what it was from the sound (had never heard the Capristo in person). Sounds amazing.

Anyway, I think I'm going to go with Exclusive Vinyl. I did some more research on them and they seem to do good work for a good price.

I am satisfied with how it came out. They did the trim for $190 and threw in the fog lights for another 20. Took 2-2.5 hours. The trim came out nicely. Huge improvement, really improves the look of my car. I can see some air bubbles on the fog lights but I did not expect the lights to be perfect without removing them. So overall, I am satisfied. Only time can tell reliability.

You can see the aluminum? So does that mean they didn't remove the trim to wrap it? Also what did you have them wrap it in? Carbon fiber style, black, etc

No, the trim was not removed. I've never heard of it being removed when wrapped.

I edited out the part about their being a tiny aluminum sliver showing in post 13. After further inspection, I realized it was not the shops fault, but rather the piece right above the aluminum trim was sitting on the trim incorrectly in that tiny spot. So I was easily able to fix that and no aluminum is visible. So I'm happy with how everything came out

Wait, you had them wrap your window trim? Lol that changes things a little. I thought you had them wrap your interior trim because I'm always hearing "aluminum trim" in reference to the inside.
Normally we just call it window trim when that's what we're talking about. So yea, you would be correct then because nobody is going to pop off the window trim to wrap it.
