Rear O2 Sensor wire harness question

So i'm replacing my Bank 1 rear o2 today and was wondering how the wire is strung up to the engine bay. i looked at my replacement o2 and the wire harness is 3ft long. figuring its a bitch to replace since it looks like it goes over the top of the tranny.

Probably best to just cut the O2 sensor off an then pull the wiring through. Then route the new one as best as you can.

Hey guys, B1 S2 that is the passenger side 02 correct? Just through this code:

    17522 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor; B1 S2
    P1114 - 008 - Internal Resistance too High - MIL ON

I took both rear 02 sensors out of car, checked them and checked wiring, no breaks. Cleared codes and it came back within 15 minutes, i know i have to replace. Just want to see if anyone uses universal? or the bosch replacements?

thanks guys, don't mean to thread jack

Rock Auto has the Bosch direct replacement for like $71. I just bought one for my RS4 from there, I couldn't believe how cheap it was compared to everywhere else!

Great, thanks for the info! Do you know which side is B1? driver or passenger? i assume S2 would be the one after the pre-cat.
