FYI, see below comparison photos to see how it looks different from the stock 4300K (from our previous test)
There were rumors that X-tremeVision bulb gets whiter and brighter after 200 hrs of use.
To find out if it's a rumor or truth, we ran a test by having a X-tremeVision bulb stay lit for 9 days (9 days x 24 hrs = 216 hrs).

Conclusion: It's not a rumor anymore. It has been confirmed. X-tremeVision bulb gives whiter and brighter light compared to the stock 4300K bulb from the beginning and it gets even better as it goes through break-in process.
We're very satisfied with the result after 216 hrs of use.

We took a few comparison photos showing stock Philips 4300K D2S(lower), new Philips X-tremeVision D2S (middle), and color-shifted Philips X-tremeVision D2S w/220 hrs use (upper) to show you the difference in lighting output and color.
The photos have not been photoshopped and untouched except for our log being added.

Although we tried to take good photos, it is not easy to take photo of lighting.
The result is that stock 4300K is noticeably yellower and dimmer than X-tremeVision bulb and the color-shifted X-tremeVision bulb is much whiter with crisp white.

Please see comparison photos posted by other AZ members who installed X-tremeVision bulbs.

Do you have any info on the actual lumen output of these compared to "stock" lamps? I can't find anything on Philips site. The visual tests are not necessarily useful. I've seen direct user comparisons of these to stock where the differences were not noticeable. They may be whiter, but colour temperature does not mean more light output.

My understanding is that these don't necessarily have more light output, but they have a higher color temp without sacrificing light output. Most bulbs that are higher color temp than stock produce less usable light output.

The rebate offer amount differs from time to time given by our distributor not the price is given differently by us.

Bingo! Yes, you are absolutely right! Color temperature has nothing to do with light output.
Actual lumen from these X-tremeVision bulb is not clearly provided by Philips.
However, it must be something new technology that they have come up with that provides more lighting output, further distance, and whiter color which was never the case for the xenon light to have both whiter color and more brightness. It's the same thing for Osram CBI (Cool Blue Intense) as well. The lumen was not clearly provided but they are brighter and whiter than stock but less bright than Philips X-tremeVision.
I would say that read reviews posted by other AZ members who shared feedback based on their experience.

As many other customers as well as AZ member have confirmed, they actually do give more light output.
