    looking for a place that sells pure methanol? running out of my stash haha.

    calling local performance shops somehow didn't help... they mostly try to plug sales for boost juice which i'm not a big fan of

    Back in the day when I used a Snow performance kit, I used the boost juice, then the Orange washer fluid thats rated for -25 degrees. Its the best bet.

    yeah i used to run -20 w/w fluid and have run boost juice before, but i ended up clogging a bunch of w/m nozzles lol. the detergents in them don't like to go through the filter

    now i mix my own... i actually found a few places, C&C in manassas and some other shop SW of dc on 495 and it costs about half as much as boost juice (even though my consumption is only like 15 gallons a year lol) even at the outrageous $8/gal people are selling it for here (one shop wanted $12/gal).

    VP sells M1 so any authorized VP seller should be able to get it for you. I use windshield washer fluid lol. Then again I don't tune for it, just use it for cooling

    Thanks for the tip, I'll ask around, hopefully they sell it in less than the 55gal VP drum haha.

    i have a few tunes w/o running the methanol and a few with, but the car just runs so much better with. its amazing what one tiny 440cc nozzle can do, just by keeping the temps down.

    C&C in manassas carries it in stock, Jax automotive in sterling / fairfax cycles and ATV can order it. all around $35 for a 5 gal drum.

    honestly i think i might be too old to save money on mixing my own shit... might just swap to my bigger meth nozzle and run some boost juice and see if it gets clogged. lol.

    @johnny don't you still run w/m??

    @Kiku hell yeah keeps the temps down on the track plus a nice kick in the pants... ecu will adjust for +/- ~20% fuel trims, so you can definitely feel the extra power. then again, with how much power you're putting down it probably wouldn't be a noticeable gain haha. but keeping the temps down is always a win. plus its super easy and cheap.

    Besides a down pipe, there is no reason to change the rs7 exhaust, honestly. Next time we are at NGP and my car is on the lift you can look.

    I do, but my settings doesn't kill it. I like the idea of making your own, just don't feel like storing it.

    yeah, the convenience of having gallon jugs premade (and sealed) sounds awesome. i'm always worried about the methanol evaporating, like i'm just spraying like 80/20 water by accident

    Try open down pipes!!! I guarantee it will be faster in the 1/4 based on weight alone lol.

    And yea meth will help, what are your IAT's like? Could even just spray water for cooling
    Low and slow
