    WRD Budget Coilovers (Great reviews)

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Hello guys I'm posting this because i just came from solo werks coil-overs and now on WRD coils. right now they are having a special for $399 for the whole set. they usually run $600 i think. i talked to one of the guys and April 15th the deal ends. is tax season and that is what the special is about. read reviews before making my purchase and they are comparing them to ST coilovers. I was like Wow. some memebers have had them for 3 years and still like a charm, they go realllyyyyy low. just and FIY you need to get ECS strut mounts or else you will hear a noise in the front.hres what they look like very simple.

I will update once a few weeks to do a couple of more reviews.

Going from one cheap set of coilovers to another eh? I've never heard of them and a quick search didn't reveal much either.

Nobody saying you can't afford it, but why cheap out? I'm not saying to go spend 3k on a full race setup lol

LOL i understand you point of you sir, but the thing is i don't track my car, i just accelerate WOT for fun. here in florida everything is straight -__- no curvy roads, so having no wheel gap and tight firm steering is all i need, did i answer your question or still not convinced? haha

Did you install them already? Hope they work out for you dude, but I'm questioning the logic a bit. If all you want is tight and low, why not a quality spring/shock setup vs. cheap coils? I just can't imagine a set of $399 coils giving you a quality, firm feel. And by the way, what do you mean that you must install ECS mounts with this setup? Just curious.

And did you get rid of your solo setup? I'm looking for a set of rear adjustable springs for a project I'm working on. Just the springs and mounts.

I already sold them on craiglist locally. and they are usually $600 the $399 is because they are on special and yes I already installed them and they are awesome. atleast for now lol an you need ECS strut mounts with this setup. if you use your stock mounts you will hear a clunking noise after they settle in. is happening to VW owners.

So you spent $$$$ for 2 sets of low cost coil overs . When you could have just gotten a set of reasonable priced quality coil overs. Along with labor twice . Front end alignment twice. And most people would love for their coil overs to feel oem ride quality imo. Myself included. But what ever floats your boat .

I really don't know how high they go bro. I'm not slammed or anything i'm moderately low but the ride quality is amazing. VW forums has better reviewd i think i'm the only one here in the zine with this coils i'm guessing.

I've had my Koni FSD's for like 5 years almost, cost me $800, 300 to install. never had a single issue with them, they are oem+, definitely took out all the stock slop, but they aren't so tight that they are uncomfortable.

Cheap coilovers are like 200-300 less, i say just get some reputable brand name, set it and forget it.

Did the same with my koni sports. I'd prefer installing it once... not twice.

I've had zero issues with my ST coilovers over 50k+ miles. The rears could use a touch firmer spring, but they are still great.

Good to hear. I purchased them yesterday. I'm a VW guy and have seen good reviews on those platforms but I wanted some first hand experience on this chassis. It will probably be another month or so before I have a chance to install. I will post a brief review.
