So I thought it might of been the exhaust leak. Just got the car back from the shop to fix that. Still loud. The higher the RPM's the louder it is. Push in the clutch and it goes away. Could it be the throw out bearing or???? It creates a loud drone noise in the cabin. The higher the RPM the louder it gets, push in the clutch and the noise is gone instantly. If it's the throw out bearing, should I just replace that? Replace the whole clutch? Replace the flywheel too?really wanting to fix this for under $500.....

Rear diff? I was going to say wheel bearing but chances are that wouldn't go away when you push the clutch in. Typically when you push the clutch in you take the load off the drive train which would explain why it goes quiet when you push it in.

What's your turbo setup? Just curious, I had a lot of droning that was from a couple broken exhaust manifold studs that allowed it to leak, replaced manifold with a frankenturbo manifold and the droning went away.
I know you said leaks where fixed, just an idea. The center bearing on your driveshaft could get loud if it's going bad

I suppose it could be driveline related, but if so I would assume from the front since it sounds like the sound is originating from right under the radio/dash.

Get the car going about 60 on the highway and throw it in neutral, if the noise persists its driveline related, if it goes away it is more likely exhaust related.

65mph. Threw it into neutral and the noise went away. Next warm day that i don't work, I'll take a look at the exhaust and manifold.
