Usually people don't give a shit about upgrades. That is why everyone goes back to stock before selling their car.

I always tune my cars though. Last one was my Chevy TBSS is pcmforless tuned # 3 with CAI. For 92K, is this a great deal you think?

I would probably buy it. 3 years ago I paid $10,000 for my 2005.5 with the same mileage.

Get the service records or vin and call the dealership to see if the timing belt was done.

Cam follower would be my only concern. ^_^

I would say it is a good deal at the firm price. If you low balled me with 7k I would tell you to f*ck off. The owner of the car sounds like he is a car guy and likely has maintained the crap out of that car. As long at the maintenance records are intact and well serviced, you should be set. Check the cam follower to make sure the cam lobe looks good and know that you will have to check that ongoing in the future as well.

Another way of looking at it is, do you care about the mods that are done and would do them anyway if you purchased a stock A4 with no mods, how much would you spend getting that done?

Thats very fair at that price. A manual S line with xenon lights is a great find, I'd take advantage of it

cam follower fails at random time frame. driving habit can also worsen the wear on the follower itself.

Check the vin and see if the car falls under the extended warranty for the cam follower. If not, you should inspect the cam follower, HPFP, and the internals before purchasing.
